The Gateway Wildlands Program is a coalition of organizations and agencies working to promote biodiversity conservation in the greater St. Louis metropolitan region of Missouri and Illinois.
Headquartered at the Missouri Botanical Garden, we seek a director to develop and manage a strategic work plan and annual budget, coordinate and engage in fundraising, and oversee publication production.
The director also will represent the organization at conferences and symposia and implement mission related projects and programs. The position jointly reports to the Program’s Steering Committee comprised of coalition member organization representatives and Director, Research at Missouri Botanical Garden for administrative issues.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related area and five year’s relevant experience leading an organization involving complex objectives and multiple institutions, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated leadership and administrative abilities, a proven fundraising track record, and experience working within a committee environment are essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
