Description
The Green Science Policy Institute provides unbiased scientific data to government, industry, and non-governmental organizations to facilitate more informed decision-making about chemicals used in consumer products and the protection of our health and environment.
Position Overview:
The Development Assistant is responsible for all administrative aspects of fundraising and donor relations.
Responsibilities:
- Process donations, prepare acknowledgement letters, and maintain donor contact information in GSP contact database
- Maintain foundation and individual donor spreadsheets
- Conduct preliminary research on prospective foundation and individual donors
- Coordinate productions and mailing of year-end appeal letters
- Organize and update GSP organizational budget spreadsheet for use in funding proposals
- Assemble media and donor kits for events and meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience in an administrative position, preferably in a not-for-profit development office
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required, Microsoft Access preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
Compensation: Salary dependent upon experience
The position would be 20 hours/week to be worked both remotely and in the GSP Berkeley Hills office. Scheduling of hours is flexible and can include evenings and weekends if preferred
