ifPeople is a for-profit social enterprise that partners with today's leaders to create meaningful online relationships and grow collaborative communities. We focus on the needs of mission-driven organizations and have broad experience in working with for-profit and non-profit organizations, both domestically and internationally. In supporting these clients, ifPeople provides custom software leveraging Open Source technologies for web applications and sites created in our distributed FairSource development team.
Position Overview:
ifPeople is seeking an experienced CRM Consultant to build customized databases that transform the effectiveness of businesses and nonprofits. Our ideal candidate brings to the table client-facing consulting experience, project management experience, and a technical understanding of database design & development.
Candidates should desire to work for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and non-profit clients in an enterprise led by a fast-moving social entrepreneur in a work environment that fosters learning, leadership, and collaboration. Our team includes a distributed network of 12 people, including partners in South America that are part of FairSource (fair trade software development).
The CRM Consultant is responsible for partnering with clients on constituent relationship management (CRM) implementations, using the Salesforce.com platform in a manner that is collaborative and professional. The CRM Consultant serves as an analyst, advisor, designer, and project manager for database migration assignments. A successful candidate will have a proven track-record of successfully maintaining productive relationships with external clients in a consulting capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Work with SME and nonprofit customers to identify their CRM needs
- Discover, document, and analyze key client business processes
- Effectively plan and estimate time for CRM projects. Coordinate with staff on project management, scheduling and resource use
- Analyze and migrate existing client data from various platforms: Access, Excel, Filemaker, Raiser's Edge, etc.
- Design and implement customized CRM databases on the Salesforce.com platform.
- Design and deliver training on use of CRM
- Provide ongoing support for customers: report building, data quality, new integrations, etc.
- Support ifPeople internal CRM needs for managing relationships with clients and partners
- Contribute to development of a strategic vision of how CRM can generate benefits for our clients.
- Contribute to the broader community by participating in forums, blogging, or writing white papers
Qualifications:
- Experience in database administration
- Previously served in a consultant role, working with external clients
- Working knowledge of integrating technology and business needs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Professionalism and courtesy in team and client interaction
- Resourcefulness, flexibility, and creative energy
- Experience with Javascript, Apex, MS Access, advanced Excel, Filemaker, or other database systems is preferred
- Strong ability to convey technical information to non-technical customers and good listening skills to translate in the other direction.
- Strong collaboration skills, including ability to work with team members remotely; ability to lead and foster effective teams
- Desire to contribute to a fun work environment
Compensation: This is a full-time position located in Atlanta, GA. Salary range is $45-52K, depending on experience. We also offer the opportunity to work a flexible work week. ifPeople values diversity in its team.
