Description

EnerNOC unlocks the full value of energy management for our utility and commercial, institutional, and industrial (C&I) customers by reducing real-time demand for electricity, increasing energy efficiency, improving energy supply transparency in competitive markets, and mitigating emissions. We accomplish this by delivering world-class energy management applications including DemandSMARTTM, comprehensive demand response; EfficiencySMARTTM, data-driven energy efficiency; SupplySMARTTM, energy price and risk management; and CarbonSMARTTM, enterprise carbon management.

Our Energy Network Operations Center (EnerNOC) supports these applications across thousands of C&I customer sites throughout the world. Using our C&I customers' energy usage flexibility, we make capacity, energy, ancillary services, and carbon products available to grid operators and our more than 100 utility customers on demand as a cost-effective alternative to traditional power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Position Overview:

EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response and energy efficiency solutions, has an immediate need for a Corporate Recruiter to join our world-class Human Resources organization.  The Corporate Recruiter will play a leading role in supporting our continued C&I Sales and Marketing teams' growth by managing a high volume of requisitions across various disciplines and sourcing, interviewing, and recommending top talent to join our exceptional team.

Becoming an expert on our business model and the industry in which we operate, the Corporate Recruiter will advise and equip managers to make sound hiring decisions by building a pipeline of highly qualified candidates for each requisition you own and leveraging your best judgment to ensure that our high standards for hiring are consistently met.  As a frontline ambassador for EnerNOC, the Corporate Recruiter will enjoy great visibility and cultivate strong customer relationships with both the hiring managers and candidates with whom they interact.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining strong internal and external networks to proactively identify leads/candidates
  • Working directly with the Lead Recruiter and department hiring managers to determine the best strategy for meeting the needs of an individual search by defining the recruitment plan and managing requisitions as assigned (in a timely fashion and as dictated by the company's hiring budget)
  • Owning the entire hiring process (management and execution) for each assigned position
  • Acting in accordance with and promoting EnerNOC's best practices procedures for recruitment and hiring, ensuring that hiring managers and interviewers also observe these procedures to enable successful hiring outcomes
  • Responsibly managing each candidate's relationship with EnerNOC from application to hire/pass; ensuring timely and informative communication with candidates to keep them informed on their status in the process
  • Attending weekly one-on-one meetings prepared to provide an update report on all recruiting activities to the Lead Recruiter
  • Attending networking functions and career fairs throughout the year to further develop candidate pipeline, as needed
  • Performing general recruiting duties (checking references, generating offer letters, extending offers with hiring managers, initiating the onboarding process, etc.) when needed
  • Attend relevant recruitment-focused seminars/training sessions throughout the year, as opportunities arise
  • Recruiting in compliance with policies as defined by the Company, as well as State and Federal Laws, and with respect to confidentiality wherever necessary

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.A. or B.S. undergraduate degree required
  • At least 3 years of progressive recruitment experience, ideally with some combination of staffing and corporate recruiting experience (either at a technology company or similarly fast-paced, high volume recruitment environment)

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities while retaining control of high volume recruitment processes
  • Self-motivation with a strong sense of urgency and drive to come to a successful outcome, irrespective of situation
  • Team player mentality and a positive attitude combined with the capacity to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in follow up communications with internal or external customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of professionalism, poise, and judgment in challenging situations, combined with a focus on broader company and recruitment goals and strategies
  • Comfort working with various online platforms as part of the recruitment and onboarding processes; experience with Taleo software a plus

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior recruitment experience within the energy or clean tech space
  • Experience in evaluating and utilizing social media platforms as a means for generating candidate leads and offering creative insights to the sourcing function
  • Ability to maintain a strong pulse on the labor market/employment trends, as they relate to relevant positions at EnerNOC, contributing to the continual development and refinement of company recruiting strategies and practices
