Earthwatch Institute is an international non-profit organization that engages people worldwide in scientific field research and education to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment. Earthwatch is dedicated to working with corporations to achieve our mission. The primary mode of corporate engagement and funding at Earthwatch is our Employee and Teacher Fellowship program. Through this program companies fund the participation of employees, teachers and other stakeholders on 2-week research expeditions. 

Position Summary: 

The Corporate Fellowship Manager will play a key role in the effective implementation of our corporate fellowship and funding initiatives. This individual will support Earthwatch corporate partners with the logistical details of their respective programs. The CFM will support corporate fellow recruitment, pre-expedition preparation, and post-expedition community action projects. This role requires extensive relationship management and interaction with corporate HR and community affairs teams to increase awareness within the company for the fellowship program.

Responsibilities may also include: helping to promote the corporate fellowship program by working with Earthwatch and corporate partner staff to manage, develop, and produce marketing materials for internal and external communication of fellowship opportunities; and coordinating with Earthwatch PR staff to prepare and pitch media releases to promote partnerships and secure press coverage of the corporate fellowship experience.

The CFM will be expected to manage internal relationships horizontally and vertically and manage multiple projects with complex deliverables and finite timelines. The CFM will be responsible for compiling and tracking data about corporate fellowships to allow post-program evaluation and reporting. He/she will play a role in corporate prospect cultivation and stewardship as determined by the Director of Corporate Partnerships and will work with Earthwatch affiliate offices (UK, Australia, Japan) on matters related to the management of relations with multi-national corporations. 

Core Responsibilities: 

Direct report to the Director of Engagement with dotted-line report to Director of Corporate Partnerships. 

* Interact with Earthwatch's corporate partners in a highly professional manner to help execute corporate relationships at a consistently high level of excellence. 

* Collaborate with Earthwatch corporate partners to promote program marketing and recruitment, including administering fellowship program applications, processing all phone and mail inquiries, and actively contacting corporate employees. Includes coordination and placement of corporate fellows on appropriate research expeditions. 

* Manage implementation of corporate relationships by coordinating with corporate community affairs, foundation, human resources, public relations and/or marketing teams as necessary. 

* High level of computer proficiency required. Create and maintain tracking documents using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint. (Microsoft Project a plus). 

* Assist the corporate development team with office management including overseeing interns and processing invoices, grants management, and other financial paperwork. 

* Participate in corporate donor events, at the annual Earthwatch conference, and at occasional evening events as necessary. 

* Occasional travel to corporate partner meetings as necessary. 

Qualifications/Skills: 

* Bachelor's degree
* 3 + years work experience 
* Polished, professional demeanor
* Strong written and oral communications skills 
* Comfort interacting with executives and volunteers
* Highly organized, exceptional project and time management skills 
* Ability to think strategically, and solve problems creatively 
* Ability to work independently 
* Expert in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point; Microsoft project a plus. 
* Background in both the private sector and non-profit field a plus. 
* Willingness to travel and be a team player. 

Salary range: $35,000 - $45,000 commensurate with experience. Good benefit package.
