Position Overview:
BrightFarms is seeking a full-time Construction Engineer to work on national greenhouse projects as support for the Director of Facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding company utilizing green building practices. The Construction Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong time management and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Setup initial contracts and project information
- Managing the project budget
- Receive, review and track status of submittals
- Assist in management of project permit process
- Assist in preparations of bid packages and procurement
- Assist in cost control and cost management systems
- Manage construction schedule based on project team input
- Track and inspect material deliveries
- Compile reports regarding financial performance of the project
- Assist in development of the facility maintenance plan
Qualifications:
Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines:
- Ability to read and understand drawings and documents related to engineering and construction.
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of Primavera or Microsoft Project
- Functions effectively as part of a team
- Good time management skills and organizational skills

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree: Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent
- Ideal candidates have 3 - 5 years of experience in commercial construction, project management, rooftops or rooftop equipment, architecture, landscape architecture or equivalent.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
