Description
Summary of Responsibilities:
To manage the conservation program at Historic Bok Sanctuary which includes:
- Planning and carrying out the rare plant conservation program in coordination
with private and public organizations through fieldwork, research, and education. - Management and curation of the National Collection of endangered Plant
Species as a Participating Institution of the Center for Plant Conservation. - Stewardship of natural and open lands of the Foundation.
Required Qualifications:
- MS in horticulture or biological science.
- A highly organized person with
appropriate experience in the following:- plant propagation,
field surveys and
monitoring, - natural areas management,
- conducting environmental assessments,
- plant identification,
- research,
- and nursery/field work;
plant conservation desirable.
paid staff/volunteers,
member with various department managers,
certificate for prescribed burning.
public speaking skills are required.
required; experience with ArcView 8, GPS Pathfinder Office, and Trimble Pro
XR (or similar) is preferred.
