Description

The National Restaurant Association is in search of a Compliance Program Manger to work in their Products and Services Group in their offices in Chicago, Illinois.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and codify all food/liquid mandation, legislation, health code changes.
  2. Inform Product Development and appropriate senior leadership of the priorities and implementation timeframes for all relevant changes relating to jurisdictional analysis.
  3. Manages a state compliance program which includes recognition of ServSafe programs.
  4. Provides technical advice and regulatory assistance to Sales and Customer Service to support questions on all matters related to mandation/legislation/etc. for customers and instructors.
  5. Provides guidance to accounts on how to best work with local and state regulatory agencies to meet specific state requirements.
  6. Provides jurisdictional analysis for ServSafe Alcohol.
  7. Represents ServSafe programs with key regulatory groups that influence/impact program compliance/acceptance (includes CFP and other influential national/international regulatory agencies/partners).
  8. Responsible for organizing and managing compliance function as well as developing and implementing initiatives to ensure results are attained and quality standards are met.
  9. Maintains relationships with regulatory agencies, trade associations and similar groups that promote and address technical issues of concern to the food service industry. Represents the Association at meetings as it relates to technical compliance.
  10. Supports activities of the Quality Assurance Executive Study Group.
  11. Work closely within the NRA organization with Public Affairs and State Affairs.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in microbiology, food science or related field, a Graduate degree is a plus. 8 or more years of experience in the areas of quality assurance, food safety, food science or public health/safety is essential. The candidate must have strategic and management capabilities and have the ability to translate strategic direction/annual plans into processes and programs that will achieve results.
