The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seeks a Commercial Manager for its Americas Regional team. MSC is the world's leading certification and eco-labeling program for wild capture fisheries. Through its certification and labelling program, the MSC contributes to reversing decline in global fish stocks by identifying and rewarding and creating marketing incentives for sustainable fisheries.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Commercial Director - Americas, this Commercial Manager position is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with large and complex foodservice distribution companies for the MSC Americas' commercial outreach program. In general, this refers to the top companies in each of these segments: chain restaurant, broad line distribution and contract catering.
Experience with and understanding of large foodservice companies is crucial as the role will require delivering value in areas of sales, training, marketing, and supply chain support. Successful outcomes will include new large partners with MSC Chain of Custody certification, increased purchasing and sales of MSC-certified and labelled products, and increased consumer awareness through foodservice outlets. There is also responsibility for some processor, distributor and other foodservice partner outreach and support.
The job holder will be part of the MSC's Americas regional team and will participate in the collective strategic planning and development of the organization in the region.

Minimum requirements: Must have the right to work in the U.S; able to travel on a regular basis, up to 40%, and to work irregular hours.
Location: MSC Americas Office - Seattle, WA, remote locations considered
Compensation: Competitive salary, dependent on experience. Benefits: 3 weeks annual vacation plus 10 holidays, health, dental, long-term disability insurance, 403B retirement plan, and option to participate in Section 125 cafeteria plan.
