Chief Executive

The South West Renewable Energy Agency is a newly formed partnership organisation which will take forward the
Strategy for the Development of Renewable Energy in the region,
including the target 11-15% renewable energy in the South West by
2010.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual
to develop and lead the organisation in achieving its objectives.

Duties:

The person appointed to this strategic role will act as the figurehead for
renewable energy across the South West of England. Central to the
role will be bringing renewable energy development and targets into the
regions wider strategic arena. The role will also entail the direction of
research and policy, increasing economic development opportunities
associated with renewable energy, and facilitating renewable energy
capacity on the ground.

Qualifications:

Responsible for the development of renewable energy in the region, you
will have a proven ability to operate at a senior level, and the
enthusiasm to raise awareness of renewable energy. Experience of the
energy industry at a strategic level is required, as well as demonstrable
management and leadership skills and a good record of business and
organisational development. Experience of economic development, the
planning process, partnership working and fund-raising are desirable.
