Carbon Sales Manager

Patagonia Sur owns a portfolio of stunning properties in Chilean Patagonia, that will ultimately encompass more than 100,000 acres. Through reforestation with native species trees, active forest management and biomass energy generation, we expect to create significant amounts of carbon offsets. We have started to sell these carbon offsets to individuals, families, and businesses who want to offset their carbon footprint and thus neutralize their impact on global warming.

Position Overview:

Our carbon offset sales manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing all elements of our carbon offset marketing program.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to market and sell carbon offsets to individuals, families, corporations, and institutions.
• Communicate and follow through with all aspects of the carbon offsets program with potential customers.
• Develop and coordinate the production of all marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, website, and digital marketing tools.
• Maintain all fiduciary responsibilities for this program.
• Research and compile all competitive research on carbon offset programs to enable Patagonia Sur to be competitive and current in carbon offset market.
• Advise and communicate with the firm's principals regarding all aspects of the carbon offset sales program.

Qualifications:

B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent with 4-6 years experience in sales, fundraising or business development. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, creative, professional and personable, with exceptional abilities in project management, written and oral communication, fiscal responsibility, outreach, and marketing, and is comfortable working both independently and as a team member. Experience with carbon offsets and/or forest management background is a definite plus. Strong computer skills, especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Spanish a plus but not required.

Compensation: $90,000 ($45,000 base with 100% bonus potential)
