Permanent Half-time, Reports To Executive Director

Duties:

Accounts Payable

--Enter and pay bills using Quick Books

--Arrange for loans as needed and make payments

Accounts Receivable

--Record and deposit all income from wholesale and retail sales

--Process and record income from dues, donations, grants, etc.

Payroll

--Process payroll twice monthly

--Complete quarterly MESC reports

--Pay payroll taxes

Taxes

--Pay MI sales tax monthly and complete annual sales tax report

--Make IRS tax monthly deposit

--Complete annual IRS 990

--Renew Michigan License to Solicit annually

Membership

--Maintain Membership Files and mailing lists on Filemaker Pro

--Process dues and donations, send thank-you letters and gifts, membership
cards

--Oversee bulk mailings of newsletter, catalog, dues notices, contribution
solicitations

--Compile quarterly and end-of-the-year membership reports for Board of
Directors

Reports

--Compile monthly and quarterly sales reports for ED

--Compile monthly and quarterly income and expense statements for ED

Purchasing:

--Purchase office/marketing supplies

Other

--Answer phone

--Website maintenance

--Attend quarterly board/committee meetings on request

Skills:

Computer: Data Base/File Maker Pro, Quick Books, Excel
Basic Accounting, Website production/maintenance

Sales: Retail sales and/or phone sales experience helpful

Other: Ability to work closely with others in a small office

Pay: $10/hr

Hours: 20 hours per week/flexible hours

About the Isle Royale Natural History Association

A non-profit educational organization, the Isle Royale Natural History
Association (IRNHA), in partnership with the National Park Service, promotes
the public's understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of Isle Royale
National Park and Keweenaw National Historical Park.
The IRNHA works to provide the following vital services for Isle Royale
National Park and Keweenaw National Historical Park, and for Park
visitors:
a.. Educational materials --maps, field guides, trail guides, and
history books--that interpret the natural and cultural resources of Isle
Royale and the cultural resources of Keweenaw National Historical Park.
IRNHA publishes original books, and makes them available by mail order and
at book sales areas within the Parks and elsewhere. We also sell many
interpretive publications produced by others, and a variety of other
interpretive materials such as videos and posters.
b.. Furnishing critical
equipment and supplies used for interpretive purposes by park staff.

Monetary support for a variety of projects which enhance the visiting
public's understanding and enjoyment of the parks.
d.. Membership
activities.
e.. Funding a variety of research projects which provide
information that may guide future park management.
