Position Overview
We are looking for an
experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team!
As a
Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and
carrying out strategic sales plans that result in the growth of revenue, as
well as individual and corporate participation in the program.
Responsibilities
- Developing detailed sales plans that identify
target markets, revenue goals and sales strategies. -
Presenting sales plans and reporting results
to the Board of Directors and key management staff. -
Developing, researching and following through
on leads; closing business by signing up participants to purchase renewable
energy and/or carbon offsets. -
Supporting the development and implementation
of the annual marketing plan; ensuring it aligns with sales plans. -
Creating brochures and other marketing
materials. -
Increasing awareness of NC GreenPower's
mission and products through participation in corporate PR and outreach events. -
Serving as account manager to participants,
working to keep interest high, providing updates, and helping sponsors to make
the most of their support of NC GreenPower. -
Attending regular team meetings and
participating in program planning and process improvement. -
Participating in short and long-term
strategic planning. -
Preparing and delivering presentations at conferences
and events. -
Utilizing CRM (Customer Relationship
Management) software to maintain and update information on leads, customer
interactions and sales activities.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, plus 3 or more
years of experience in business development or account management. - Experience
with fund-raising or selling of intangible products is a plus. - Prior experience working in the renewable
energy industry is strongly preferred. - The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and
communication skills, proficiency with MS Office software and relational
databases, and the ability to create and present material to the public.
