Business Development Manager

Bosch/Buderus Thermotechnology North America (BBTNA) is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Solar Thermal Domestic Hot Water Systems in North America.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain contacts with key builders in region, especially green builders.  
• Call on builders regularly to encourage and demonstrate the advantages of solar thermal technology.  
• Call on select plumbing and HVAC wholesalers and solar distributors to sell product.  
• Develop networking relationships with key solar thermal representatives in state and local governments and utilities within defined region.  
• Provide input to government and utility representatives to help craft legislation and programs favorable to usage of solar thermal technologies.  
• Conduct training sessions to educate contractors, wholesalers, builders and architects on installation and maintenance of products.  
• Provide on-site support during installation of major projects.  
• Attend trade shows as necessary to show product, acquire additional contacts, and stay current on industry trends and changes.  
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.  
• At least 5 years experience required, with at least 2 years experience with solar technologies preferred.  
• General experience in water heating and boiler systems preferred but not required.  
• Experience in builder industry a plus.  
• Experience in sales a plus.  
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.  
• Must have strong presentation skills.  
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Explorer.  
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relationships with key individuals in the industry.  
• Ability to travel.
