PECI is an energy efficiency consulting agency that designs and implements energy efficiency programs and research for utility companies and governmental agencies. Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Portland, Oregon, PECI has a longstanding tradition of pairing innovation with practicality to deliver customized energy solutions in building commissioning, retrocommissioning, and new construction with focus on HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, and appliances. 

Position Overview:

PECI is looking for an Associate Director, Business Operations to work on the senior management team and support the Executive Vice President of Operations in planning, directing, and coordinating operations, program functions, and process for the Program Delivery organization. They will provide leadership in the development, implementation, and ongoing management of organizational process, policies, practices, and reporting.

Responsibilities will include program operations metrics, daily operational oversight, budget and forecast management, workforce planning, and program planning. This position will be responsible for the Program Delivery organization's representation in the creation and maintenance of effective inter-organizational processes and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage operational processes and policies to support organizational objectives, including information dissemination, intra and inter organizational process planning and management
  • Prepare and maintain performance dashboards (actions, sales, budget, P&L) and reporting to track objectives and goal attainment
  • Provide analysis and recommendations relative to performance and process improvement
  • Support the organization in meeting corporate financial planning, goals, and management requirements, including annual budget forecast and development process
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Program Operations and Strategy & Business Development, Engineering, and other operating groups as may be required
  • Manage the effectiveness and efficiency of corporate support services and systems (IT, ADG and Finance), including requirements development and delivery coordination

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a field related to business and operations, masters degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior management operations role encompassing the areas of marketing, sales, accounting, and business operations
  • Experienced in developing and implementing best practices to improve and refine organizational effectiveness
  • Strong analytical and process development skills
  • Experienced in budget forecast planning, analysis, management, and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing staff, major projects and initiatives
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven project management and oversight experience
  • Proven interpersonal and task delegation management skills
  • Substantial knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, workforce planning, resource allocation, and coordination of physical resources
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience within a consulting environment
