Position Overview:
Green Mountain College seeks an assistant professor with expertise in political science, political economy and/or public policy for an appointment to our Environmental Studies faculty to serve our expanding undergraduate and graduate programs and growing student body.
Responsibilities:
Primary teaching responsibilities will include courses in political science and public policy. Expertise in climate change, energy, and either domestic or international environmental law and policy preferred; facility with political economics a plus. In addition to teaching courses within the majors, all faculty members contribute to the interdisciplinary Environmental Liberal Arts General Education Program.
Qualifications:
Experience outside of academia a plus. Doctorate preferred, although all qualified candidates will be considered.
Compensation: Green Mountain's salaries are competitive with those of similar small, private colleges; benefits are excellent.
