Application Engineer

Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA, Inc., Photovoltaic Division, one of the world's leading suppliers of PV modules and solar energy equipment has a new position for an Application Engineer.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized and a unique combination of sharp technical and "people" skills professional to join our fast growing solar team in Cypress, California.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and conduct on-going technical training for our system integrators.
• Provide field support and help resolve product and customer issues.
• Anticipate project issues and develop win-win resolutions.
• Attend and support local trade shows and conferences.
• Gather and report on competitive and market intelligence.
• Review installation sites.
• Respond to technical and product sales inquiries.
• Assist in identifying new markets/products opportunities.
• Provide sales support when needed.
• Travel 50% of the time, if needed.

Qualifications:

• B.S. Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics) or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of PV, solar thermal or electrical power system design and installation experience.
• Technical curiosity and demonstrated ability to provide economic analysis and recommendations is highly desirable.
• A deep desire to be in the renewable energy business

Compensation: We offer a base salary and an excellent benefits package including 401(K). No relocation will be provided.
