Description
~ Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) works to improve the economic viability, environmental soundness and social responsibility of food and farming systems in Pennsylvania and across the country. ~
As the largest statewide, member-based sustainable farming organization in the United States, PASA conducts programs that include farmer-focused education, regional marketing and business support, consumer outreach, policy work, and community building strategies.
Position Overview
This position is full-time, salaried with occasional evening and weekend work expected. The successful candidate will play a key role in the growth and health of the PASA Membership & Development departments, as well as the SOIL fundraising campaign.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the Membership/Development Functions, contributing significantly to growth of the programs they represent
- Work in collaboration with the Outreach Team to develop the 'culture of giving' among our supporters, members, and those in the 'Good Food Neighborhood'
- Oversee the Annual Giving program, including accurate and timely contribution processing, reports, performance & effectiveness tracking, and list management
- Develop & Coordinate internal & external special events that contribute to Annual Giving
- Compile and update master files on all grants within the organization, including hard copy & electronic files. Maintain a schedule for reporting and requirements in support of program staff managing the grants
- Responsible for the development and overall management of PASA merchandise. Responsible for merchandise sales at seasonal PASA conferences and other events as deemed appropriate
- Responsible for departmental print and electronic communications via social media, PASA website, Passages Newsletter, weekly e-News, etc.
- Liaison to board Cultivation Committee to keep them involved & engaged
- Be an active and supportive member of the PASA Team
Qualifications
- Candidates must have fundraising experience
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Highly organized with consistent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and also comfortable in a team setting
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Google applications and database systems required
- Cooperative personality and commitment to PASA's mission a must!
