Emerging Energy Research, LLC is a leading advisory company specializing in new and alternative energy technologies including wind power, renewables, and clean fuels. We have an immediate opening for someone that can contribute to our ongoing research of wind energy markets and company strategies in North America. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing market and competitive intelligence on new projects, long-term generation plans, green power programs, regulatory initiatives, and industry structure in a wide range of renewable technologies with a primary focus on wind energy.
Primary responsibilities include:
* maintaining market forecast and project pipeline databases;
* initiating and writing Executive Briefings and Strategy Papers;
* contributing and eventually leading in-depth market studies; and
* interacting with clients on a continuous basis to provide market research, competitive analysis, and strategy support.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2-3 years experience in research and analysis of the energy sector;
* strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to write economically and quickly; ability to write and converse using impeccable Business English;
* strong interviewing skills and ability to interface regularly with research contacts
* strong market and business analytical skills; and
* proficiency with standard software applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
Candidates will be considered based on the following:
* Excellent oral and written English communications skills
* Familiarity with forecasting and/or financial models
* Strong background in consulting, journalism or research
* Industry experience: energy, power, finance, industrial sectors
* Ability to engage w/ executives and managers on regular basis
