Description

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine , a nonprofit organization that promotes preventive medicine, conducts clinical research, and encourages higher standards for ethics and effectiveness in research, seeks an Administrative Assistant to support our various internal departments focusing on research and advocacy, nutrition and membership. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing varied administrative support including, but not limited to, the following duties:

Job Duties:

Provide general administrative support i.e. answering phones, responding to e-mail inquiries, routing mail, filing and copying.

Maintain, contacts, calendars and databases.

Prepare internal and external correspondence.

Schedule meetings and prepare meeting materials.

Compile and present information using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Purchase supplies, prepare check requests and expense reports.

Assist with voluteer work events and other special programs and events.

Additional Qualifications:
Strong organizational, administrative and computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint).

Ability to multi-task and work at a high rate of efficiency in a very fast-paced environment.

Dedication to producing a high-quality work product.

Excellent writing skills.

Impeccable judgment.

Resourceful, assertive, detail-oriented and quick-thinking.

Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Display a "do whatever it takes" attitude.
Commitment to the objectives of PCRM.
