Description
Social Accountability Accreditation Services (SAAS) is an accreditation agency founded to accredit and monitor organizations as certifiers of compliance with social standards, including the Social Accountability 8000 standard for ethical working conditions. SAAS began work in 1997 and was formally established as a not-for-profit affiliate of Social Accountability International (SAI) in 2007.
Responsibilities:
· track, collect, post and coordinate analysis of certification and complaints data
· maintain/update/post list of accredited certification bodies
· coordinate billing for accreditation services
· coordinate/liaise on pre-audit stakeholder consultation pilots
· track and coordinate auditor certification and development thereof
· Nov-Jan: schedule audits and other coverage for accreditation manager
· maintain accreditation auditor files
· prepare accreditation documents
· respond to basic requests for accreditation information
· assist with SAAS Board of Directors, Accreditation Committee and Accreditation Review Panel meetings, minutes, scheduling, correspondence
· track relevant international organization developments, e.g. ISEAL, ISO, IAF
Qualifications:
Experience:
· Knowledge of CSR field; Familiarity with social compliance standards
· Two years work in office environment
Skills:
· Intermediate-advanced knowledge of MS Office
· Experience with databases and web-based tools
· Strong research and writing ability
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple activities and projects simultaneously
Education: Minimum B.A. in relevant field; graduate training desirable
