Knight & Carver Wind Group has become well-respected in the wind energy industry for its innovation and quality, working closely with the world's largest wind energy producers. Currently, the fast-growing Wind Group has repair projects in 15 U.S. states, as well as a large project in Spain.

Knight & Carver has opened its wind-blade manufacturing and repair facility in Howard, South Dakota. Built on a 7.2 acre site in the Howard Industrial Park, the 26,000 square foot facility will serve as the company's prime blade headquarters.

As an Account Executive, you will be an integral part of the Sales team working directly with the Production department on a daily basis. 

The ideal candidate will have a background in technical sales and must be able to learn key terms and concepts related to the Wind Energy industry. You also must have a successful and verifiable track record in meeting and exceeding sales quotas as well as accurately tracking and forecasting your sales on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Developing new customers nationally and internationally
  • Responsible for the full life cycle of a sale
  • Account management
  • Use Salesforce to accurately track all leads, opportunities, and customer contact information
  • Independently prospect for new sales leads via cold calling, email campaigns or other means
  • Carry out exhibitions and product presentations
  • Work with the Production department
  • Ongoing customer service after the sale has been closed
  • Up to 25% travel required

Qualifications:

  • A college degree in Engineering, Business, Management or a related field or relevant experience
  • 3+ years experience as an Account Executive in a technical field and/or a combination of sales and manufacturing experience
  • Track record selling and closing deals over $150,000
  • Experience using a CRM software program
  • Good comprehension of technical subjects
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally to C-level Executives, VPs, and Managers
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work closely with others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good computer skills
