Position Overview

Perkins Coie LLP is seeking an attorney with a minimum 4 years of experience in environmental and natural resources law to be based in Perkins Coie's Portland, Oregon office but working with the Environment, Energy, & Resources and other practice groups nationwide. 

Qualifications

  • Required experience includes environmental/natural resources litigation, permitting, environmental compliance and enforcement. 
  • Experience in CERCLA litigation, citizen suit defense, toxic tort litigation, and permit challenges will be an asset.
  • Required for consideration are 4 years of relevant legal experience, which could include judicial clerkship experience. 
  • Also required is an excellent law school performance, a strong educational background, significant writing experience demonstrated by law review/journal/clerkship experience, and excellent references. 
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential to independently manage client relationships and matters and the desire to develop client and referral relationships. 
  • The candidate should demonstrate the ability to be a team player, and superior interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.
