Project Manager, Sustainable Design

Position Overview

Seventhwave seeks a Project Manager, Sustainable Design for our Chicago, Illinois office.

Responsibilities

• Manage research, consulting, and outreach projects related to building performance.
• Investigate the sustainable design and construction of building systems and components.
• Work in eQuest, develop computer models of building energy consumption, cost estimates, and the production of on-site energy from renewable sources.
• Provide technical advice to industrial and managerial personnel regarding the design, construction and program modifications and structural repairs.
• Handle project development and planning, including timeline and milestones and ensure adherence to project schedules and deliverables.
• Interact with clients, consulting firms, colleagues at similar organizations, representatives of trade organizations, federal, state and local government agencies, and board and committee members.
• Prepare project budgets under direction of senior staff; prepare requests for proposals and contracts and assist with managing vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare project-related reports and other deliverables.
• Assist Project Managers and Senior Management with the future direction and planning of organization.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design or a related field. Must have LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification and be proficient in eQuest.
