Position Overview

Dana Designs is an Organic Lawn Care/Landscape Management Company is looking to hire a full time Lawn Technician/Organic Property Management for the 2020 maintenance season. Dana Designs is an innovator in the application of organic turf care strategies to residential turf in Southern Rhode Island. Successful candidates will be passionate about augmenting their existing turf/landscape experience with the organic standards we practice.

Cultivating knowledge of the Standards for Organic Land Care established by the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) will be essential. Training in this area will be required and will be a featured part of employment for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to observe and be able to document changes in turf quality.
• Will have experience and the confidence to operate safely turf equipment such as; core aerators, stand on top fertilizer spreaders, slice seeders, rototillers, power rakes, etc.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in seasonal conditions.
• Ability to provide valid Driver's License, Motor Vehicle Report, and Proof of Auto Insurance.
• Must live in Southern Rhode Island or Southeastern Connecticut.
• Ability to calculate application rates of turf materials being applied.
• Maintain a sense of competitiveness when it comes to knowledge of the trade, personal health, quality standards applied to the client's properties and growing a business.

Experience:

• Landscaping: 3 years (Preferred)
• Turf care: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

License:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)

Compensation

• Salary: $16.00 to $22.00 /hour
