Position Overview

Unity College's 100% online Geographic Information Science (GIScience) programs are big data visualized and put into the environmental context that matters. Big picture thinking also means thinking big about how we influence the environment and the world.
Often, environmental scientists can analyze and interpret environmental data while GIS scientists can manage and manipulate data. Unity College's 100% online Environmental GIScience programs will prepare students to meld the two by integrating spatial technologies and environmental information. Students will be expected to be highly inquisitive about the ramifications, motivations, and cost of global responses to environmental issues while exploring their own individual ideas.
The central distinguishing feature of the online GIS programs are to focus on understanding the environment through spatial technologies.

Choose from the online program or path that fits your needs and your career goals. Unity offers:
- Master's in Professional Science (M.S.) in Environmental GIScience
- 30 credit master's program; students who take a full course load can complete the degree requirements in as few as 12 months
- Graduate Certificate in Environmental GIScience
- 15 credit certificate program; all credits can later be applied towards the master's degree
- Individual Graduate-Level GIS Courses
Note: Students not ready to commit to a full program can take an individual graduate-level course in the GIS topic of their choice. Credits earned can also later be applied to either the graduate certificate or master's program
