Our partnership with Solar-Aid is designed to sell lights at a ‘fair market rate’ so that local entrepreneurs and other agencies can join the market and make a profit. We do this by taking a hit on the distribution costs.

It costs a lot of money to get these lights into remote communities and educate people about their benefits. This is where your donation comes in, covering the cost of getting these lights to the people that need them most.

Position Overview

If you are looking to put your solar sales career on the fast-track and work with Pre-qualified, Appointment Set and “ready to go” Prospects you need to join our growing team in the South Sound.

Offset Solar will provide the training, materials and all the support you will need to be successful. As you will learn from our experienced team, this position is suited best for individuals who are looking to start or continue building their sales career in renewable energy.

As the Solar Energy Sales Representative, you are the primary point of contact after the customer is prequalified, the appointment is made and double confirmed. You will work with these prospective customers by Teaching, Clarifying, Persuading and Closing in a way that will lay the groundwork for an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the minimum required sales targets set by your Sales Manager
  • Present residential solar energy solutions to homeowners, clearly explaining the variety of benefits of going solar and closing the sale
  • Develop sales skills, learn and adapt to new strategies and challenges, and provide a best-in-class experience from initial contact through installation
  • Manage your customer pipeline effectively and efficiently, perform necessary follow-up to schedule in-home consultations and follow-up meetings as necessary
  • Self-generate leads and appointments and handle company leads properly to work up to the level of income you desire and are capable of
  • Maintain knowledge of industry events, utility information, and other important details about the energy and renewables industry
  • Create your own sales pipeline and referral network in your sales territory

Compensation

  • Flexible full-time work hours allow for a terrific work/life balance opportunity
  • Compensation is Commission based and ranges from $60000 to $100000 plus per year

  • The Solar Energy Sales Representative position is a field-based sales role with frequent local travel required within assigned region
