Position Overview
Seeking a Compliance Specialist, with a primary focus in air permitting, to join our team in a growing multi-disciplinary company for our Wall, Cherry Hill, or Warren, New Jersey locations.
Qualifications
Required:
- 7 to 10 years of experience within the environmental industry
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, environmental science, or an equivalent field
- Focused understanding and working knowledge of the Federal Clean Air Act/ NJDEP Air Permitting Regulations – General Permits, Preconstruction Permits and Title V
- Proficient with the use of NJDEP Radius
- General knowledge of the following additional regulations:
- Clean Water Act/New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (Wastewater and Industrial Stormwater Permitting)
- Underground Storage Tank Regulations
- Oil Pollution Prevention Regulations/SPCC Planning
- Safe Drinking Water Regulations
- RCRA/ NJDEP Solid and Hazardous Waste Regulations
- Familiar with New Jersey compliance regulations and the performance of multi-media regulatory compliance inspections of industrial, commercial and public facilities
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with a diverse group of people, including non-technical staff
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including Excel and Access
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training
