Position Overview

The Watershed and Flood Control Resources Specialist is a mid-level professional position that assists the Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District with the implementation of watershed and flood control project operations and programs.

This recruitment is being conducted to fill one full-time vacancy. The list established by this recruitment may be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will oversee the Countywide stream maintenance program and support ongoing Napa River and tributary restoration projects design, permitting, construction and long term monitoring and maintenance.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 4 years of experience in the field of watershed management, environmental restoration and/or natural resources management.

Education:

• Equivalent to graduation from a 4-year college or university with major coursework in biology, natural sciences, resource management, environmental sciences or other related field.

Compensation: $84,864.00 - $101,857.60 Annually
