Position Overview

SDC has immediate need in our Washington, DC office for a Project Consultant degreed in and having minimum 4 years’ experience in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management or other fields related to the building industry. 

Candidates must be knowledgeable in commercial green building principles and practices and have played a role in a minimum of 2 LEED projects. Candidates must be proficient in navigating architectural and engineering drawings and specifications and must have experience with LEED Online.  

Responsibilities

• This position supports a team managing LEED / green building design, construction, operations and maintenance projects and training initiatives in a fast-paced, specialized, and focused environment. 
• The successful candidate will support multiple Project Managers managing numerous consulting projects and play a supporting role in the development of consulting tools, services, resources and trainings.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be proficient in MS Office programs and Internet research. 
• Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative, organizational and time management skills, and flexibility.
• LEED Green Associate credential required, and the successful candidate must demonstrate ability to achieve the LEED professional accreditation with Specialty within 6 months of the day of employment, if not already accredited.
