Position Overview

Corning is seeking an Energy & Resource Analyst / Project Leader, who will focus on metric reporting in key areas such as green building projects, energy, water, carbon footprint management, etc.

Responsibilities

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing metrics, content, programs, and procedures to address inquiries from customers, governments, and NGO’s concerning energy, GHG’s, water, etc.
  • Lead corporate sustainability KPIs; Interprets findings to help drive business decisions
  • Lead benchmark calculations and reporting of consumption data from whole building operations to individual tenant level data using internal systems and ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
  • Monitors sustainability rating and certification of buildings and/or the campus
  • Keeps abreast of changing industry trends and investigates potential opportunities
  • Communicates new products to the energy community; attends various energy events to keep abreast of energy, green building, and environment changes
  • Performs research, development, implementation, and oversight of conservation projects
  • Plans and coordinates sustainability events

Renewable Energy:

  • Responsible for tracking current renewable energy performance and evaluating opportunities for new projects

Reliability:

  • Responsible for the coordination of a cross function team to drive increased energy reliability
  • Interface with other engineering resources to drive consistency and share best practices

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preference for Engineering, Technical, or Business

Desired Years in area of experience:

  • 3-5 years relevant experience

Required skills:

  • Demonstrated analytical abilities
  • Experience leading project teams
  • Demonstrated strong presentation skills

Desired skills:

  • Experience in the energy field
  • Experience as a plant or corporate buyer
  • Experience within the green building field
  • Experience across multiple businesses, division and / or technologies
  • Experience working in a matrix environment or on a cross-functional team
  • Experience with procurement processes and systems  - Contract Writing / Management

Soft skills:

  • Able to build relationships with team members
  • Encourages a wide range of ideas and perspectives
  • Customized work / tasks based on individual strengths

Travel requirements:

  • Up to 25% - some international travel may be required
