Position Overview

ReneSola America Inc. is seeking a Project Development Manager (Renesola Energy Minnesota).

Responsibilities

  • Close PPA and turnkey EPC contracts for solar projects typically ranging in size from 5MW +;
  • Develop projects from inception to executed contract;
  • Generate proposals, quotes, and formal RFP responses;
  • Analyze impact of changing regulatory environment and adjust strategy as necessary;
  • Work independently and with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans to win identified opportunities;
  • Work with legal, executive and finance teams to negotiate contract terms and close transactions;
  • Consult with clients and finance professionals to develop necessary financial models;
  • Work collaboratively with Operations once the hand-off has occurred; be an internal champion for your deals;
  • Utilize your professional network to identify potential clients;
  • Close a deal within the first 6 months in the role; and
  • Must be able to deal with utility, landowners, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the solar industry, solar tariffs, and rate schedule modeling;
  • Ability to communicate concepts to interested customers;
  • Successful track record in a complex sales environment (solar, technical, construction and/or financial products with mid-to-long sales cycles);
  • Strong relationship building, lead generation and closing skills;
  • Self-motivated;
  • Ability to thrive under pressure;
  • Ability to understand the financials;
  • Ability to interface effectively with cross-functional departments;
  • Tenacious problem solver; and
  • Familiarity with formal project management methodologies.
