Position Overview

Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Principal/Senior Environmental Professional in our Houston office. We are seeking a practice builder to develop environmental project opportunities for our Houston Environmental Sciences Division, recruit and train staff and build a strong environmental practice for our Houston office. 

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will coordinate projects, mentor junior staff and serve as manager for the Houston office's environmental division.
  • The successful candidate will maintain client relationships, lead and guide marketing efforts, provide ongoing training to staff, provide direction and review of work products, and review and sign reports.

Qualifications

Education:

  • B.S. degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field and appropriate related professional registration/certification.
  • An advanced degree is a plus.

Required Skills:

  • The successful candidate should have 10+ years of experience, preferably with an environmental consulting firm performing duties described above.
  • Experience should include all phases of environmental site assessments (Phase I and II ESAs, comprehensive site characterization, remediation planning and design.
  • Experience performing or managing industrial hygiene services (asbestos, lead-containing paint, indoor air quality, mold), and regulatory compliance (stormwater, permitting, environmental auditing) is also required.
  • Candidate should have local project experience providing these services on a wide variety of sites for clients including public agencies, local governments, utilities and private industry.
  • Candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
