Ormat Sells 3M Shares to Lehman Brothers

Ormat Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ORA), the only vertically-integrated company primarily engaged in the geothermal and recovered energy power business, announced today that it will sell 3,100,000 shares of common stock to Lehman Brothers Inc. (NYSE: LEH) in a block trade. 

Ormat designs, develops, owns and operates geothermal and recovered energy-based power plants around the world. Additionally, the company designs, manufactures and sells geothermal and recovered energy power units and other power-generating equipment, and provides related services.

Ormat currently operates seven geothermal and recovered energy-based power plants in the United States, as well as plants in Guatemala, Kenya and Nicaragua.
