Cedar Grove also plays an important role in diverting organic waste from landfills. At two local facilities, we compost more than 350,000 tons of residential and commercial yard and food waste annually.
Using nature as our guide and proven technology, we're responsible for transforming waste materials into inventive products that benefit our community. We divert supposed "waste" that would otherwise be mixed in with trash and shipped to landfills and transform it into clean, nutrient-rich products.
Position Overview
The Semi Driver safely picks up and delivers bulk compost and/or other finished product from the Everett facility to various satellite yards. The Semi Driver also picks up any tailings from the satellite yards to be taken the Maple Valley or Everett facility.
*This is a day position starting at 6 am.
Responsibilities
- Operate safely and efficiently Semis and doubles.
- Perform pre-trip inspections and fill out log before operating vehicle.
- Stocks satellite yards product inventory by picking up and delivering compost and/or other finished products (top soil, two-way blend, etc.) from the Everett facility to various satiate yards.
- Picks up tailings from the satellite yards to be taken to either the Maple Valley or Everett processing facility.
Qualifications
- Must have CDL Class A.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as tarping loads, climbing in and on trucks, digging out stuck loads and fueling trucks.
- Should have familiarity with local area and have efficient map reading skills for local deliveries.
- Must keep an organized and professional appearance at all times.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Be self-motivated and reliable to meet performance standards.
