Position Overview
WTD seeks a Sustainable Resources Manager. This position manages a $20 million annual budget and a 20-person team of engineers, scientists, and project managers responsible for using the sustainable products from WTD’s waste stream and supporting sustainability and innovation.
- The Sustainable Resources Manager will oversee the strategic development and diversification of customer relationships while managing external relations and program operations for all "waste to resource" programs.
- The ideal candidate will be a transformational manager who will help drive the division towards its vision: "An innovative and resilient clean water enterprise revolutionizing the recovery of valuable resources for sustainable communities."
Qualifications
- This role requires a bachelor's degree or the equivalent on-the-job experience in public administration, environmental science, engineering, or similar fields;
- As well as 5 years of experience managing staff and supervisors, which includes staff development and performance management for various disciplines (e.g., engineers, educators, scientists, planners, and project managers).

Compensation: The annual salary range is $106,877 - $135,473 DOQ. In addition, King County offers a competitive benefits package including PERS retirement.
