Responsibilities  

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • CTC is seeking a qualified candidate to support a federal agency energy office.
  • The Project Coordinator assists in the overall management of renewable energy project development.
  • As part of a team of engineers, policy analysts and management professionals, the Project Coordinator provides comprehensive project support and leadership in assessing the viability of potential renewable energy project opportunities.
  • The Project Coordinator applies their knowledge of renewable energy technologies and utility markets to manage, analyze, and synthesize information for key decision briefs and procurement actions.
  • This individual provides competent technical and managerial leadership to ensure the successful execution of budgeting, manpower, resource planning, and financial reporting associated with renewable energy projects. 

The Project Coordinator must appreciate and understand the unique execution aspects of renewable energy projects in addition to typical management activities such as: 

  • Maintenance of project support schedules, meeting scheduling and logistics; written correspondence;
  • Filing;
  • Review of documents for consistency, grammar, and context;
  • Work flow management;
  • Travel reservations;
  • Special projects;
  • Progress reports; and
  • Communication and coordination with staff and senior executive stakeholders. 

Qualifications 

  • The successful candidate will have a background in energy technology and policy in order to interface with government management personnel and contract managers.
  • The successful candidate will be proficient in applying analytical methods and evaluation techniques to a broad range of functional areas such as project and corporate risk assessment, accounting and corporate finance.
  • They will apply their knowledge in order to monitor energy sector developments pertinent to the operating environment, (i.e., price and demand movements, legal and regulatory changes, and structured changes within the sector).
  • The individual will be responsible for developing and presenting analyses through a variety of means, including formal written studies and oral presentations, and supports government project transaction negotiations/re-negotiations throughout the project life cycle.
  • The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in the range of financial, market, credit, and technical risks inherent in distinct renewable energy technologies (e.g., wind, solar, geothermal, etc.), as well as appropriate mitigation approaches.
  • They will be adept at time management, organized and have the ability to properly prioritize simultaneous tasks.
  • They must be able to demonstrate oral and written communication skills and possess a high degree of pride and attention to detail with work products. 

Basic Qualifications: 

Must have one of the following combinations of experience and education: 

  • Master's Degree and 1 year of experience; or
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years' of experience; or
  • Associates Degree/Military Training and 9 years' of experience.

Additionally: 

  • Must be able to pass a background investigation; 
  • Proficient in MS Project; and
  • Clearance: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Valid DOD National Agency Check/Security clearance.
