Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Human Resources serves as the senior HR Business Partner for the organization, with an emphasis on talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, coaching, leadership and learning and development.
This hands-on position is responsible for full cycle recruitment, talent acquisition and on-boarding processes in partnership and alignment with the organization's strategies and culture.
Key responsibilities include partnering with business leaders to develop recruitment strategies to proactively source, attract, and identify top talent; working closely with management and employees on people-related issues: talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, conflict management, organizational development and more.

Principle Responsibilities
- Drive success in key areas including; talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management, organizational design, employee engagement, performance management, workforce planning, career mapping, management effectiveness training, and employee relations
- Build relationships and partner with business leaders to develop results-driven staffing strategies that meet current and future talent acquisition and development needs
- Provide consultative services to hiring managers throughout the recruiting process to include creating job descriptions, developing recruiting strategies, candidate selection and offer preparation
- Source, screen, interview, and recommend top talent for all positions including interns through senior level professionals
- When appropriate, engage and partner with external recruitment firms and effectively manage the vendor relationship
- Coach hiring managers in effective interviewing techniques
- Continually improve the recruiting process to ensure legal and regulatory compliance while enhancing productivity, quality of hires, and time to fill
- Partner with the Human Resources team and follow up with new employees to ensure a positive on-boarding experience
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; partner with the Legal department as needed/required
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Partner with the business to lead review processes which focus on performance management, talent development, and compensation
- Provide guidance and input on organizational design, workforce planning and succession planning
- Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation and organizational development
- Work with managers and employees to address various employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests
- Educate, coach and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals
- Proactively learn and demonstrate an understanding of the company's industry and business
- Provide status reports, metrics and other information as requested for executive updates and status reporting
- Serve as a trusted, respected and collaborative member of the Human Resources team

Experience
- 8+ years of work experience in an HR Generalist/Business Partner role including, talent acquisition, performance management, change management, and employee relations
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
- PHR or SPHR preferred
- Experience in renewable energy a plus
- Experience working with Paylocity, Jobvite, and Halogen systems strongly preferred
