Position Overview
We are seeking candiates for the postion of Regional Sales Manager with growth potential into a National Sales Manager positon.
The Western Regional Manager will provide support to the President of Sales, CEO and marketing team. The Western Regional Sales Manager is responsible for interfacing with customers to build the business, as well as creating and implementing programs to support MLN's growing brand in a fast-paced, competitive marketplace. This position requires 30% of time spent traveling.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities and attributes include but are not limited to:
- Manage our network of brokers, staying current with their field activities, account level needs, store level placements and market feedback
- Attending shows and meeting with Buyers
- Draft Broker monthly meeting, Market visit, Trainings and event recap reports
- Travel throughout assigned region(s) with the objective of impacting store level sales, understanding and reporting back on store level needs, developing positive relationships with your brokers and observing and reporting back on competitive activity
- Work with MacroLife's Brand Ambassador demo coordinators, ensuring demos, and pop-ups are implemented as agreed and that activities remain within agreed budgeted parameters
- Create competitive analysis and retailer insight reports from customer velocity information
- Develop marketing programs for local and national sales promotions for large and small chains and analyze and report the profitability back to management
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including the facilitating of product and material mailings, managing department spreadsheets, and essential department information sheets
- Dependable, personable, diplomatic
- Able to problem solve successfully with wide variety of people and issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for creating and maintaining accurate promotional planners, new item recaps, and monthly sales reports
- Outstanding organizational, follow-up, and time management skills with emphasis on hitting deadlines

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Develop top line sales growth of brands through effective actionable sales/marketing strategies
- Work closely with Management to educate and train broker and store sales team on brand key points, marketing strategy and take steps necessary to make them successful
- Train, work with, and motivate broker field reps on a regular basis
- Communicate competitive information and broker performance to national sales manager
- Maintain files and resources required for ongoing successful and organized management of brokers and existing accounts
- Create annual promotional calendars and analyze the return on investment for proposed spending through the various channels
- Coordinate and collaborate with your brands to maximize ROI on marketing and advertising programs with follow up sales review reports
- Work with company to maximize their resources to develop and implement strategic sales promotional plans for success with distributors and retailers
- Oversee the execution of the sales/marketing plan and adjust as necessary to maximize results
- Collect, and disseminate customer information including but not limited to promotions, new items, hip pocket deals, case stacks, holiday items, truckloads, overstocks, displays, demo, audit and spiff programs
Qualfications
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as regional manager in the natural channel. Beauty and/or supplements experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or greater preferred
- Able to create meaningful sales presentations and comfortable presenting to trade and executive management
- Strong analytical skills that can be synthesized to create meaningful reports with a call to action
- Experience working with key distributors such as UNFI, Kehe, Select, Threshold, Palko, etc
- Technical proficiency with Word, Excel & PowerPoint as you will be required to prepare presentation s and analyze sales data using these tools
- Previous experience working with external data such as VIP Whole Foods and other distributer account portals
- Must reside in Southern California preferably in Los Angeles County
- Valid driver's license and passport as some training and reviews may take place outside of the United States
Compensation: Competitive salary + commissions and benefit package DOE.
