Position Overview
Advant Energy seeks to hire an experienced Outside Sales Representative for Hometown BioEnergy ("HTBE"), an anaerobic digestion biogas production and electricity generation facility.
The plant is located in Le Sueur, MN, about 35 miles from the southwest suburbs of Minneapolis. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Director Plant Operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing diverse and dependable sources of feedstock for HTBE as well as marketing by-products from the biogas production process.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a background in the management of organics, agricultural and food processing by-products, and other substrates and materials to contribute to the success of this innovative, renewable energy technology. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and potential customers
- Identify potential feedstock sources and by-product customers
- Arrange sales calls, and prepare and deliver sales presentations
- Prepare purchase agreements
- Coordinate feedstock and by-product logistics
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a successful outside sales representative for an integrated refuse and recycling management provider
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to understand basic elements of contracts and agreements
- Able to use MS Office products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Possess valid MN driver's license
