Position Overview 

We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Web Developer at our headquarters in Buffalo, NY. In this challenging position, the Web Developer will be responsible for designing and developing web-based solutions and will work with colleagues and clients to create appealing and fully functioning websites.

This challenging position requires the candidate to have experience with ASP.Net C# web development to develop project websites and internal systems. Experience with ASP.Net, C#, and SQL server required.

Our developers are part of an integrated IT/GIS group at E & E which is a very dynamic results-oriented group. Our successful candidate must be a self-starter who is highly motivated to work efficiently on a team and independently in a very fast-paced and exciting consulting environment building web solutions to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities 

• Perform web development tasks utilizing .NET Framework and C# programming language
• Participate in testing, documentation, deployment and application support
• Build, design and implement intuitive web-based solutions that support and add value to E & E's core environmental services including development for client external websites and E & E's internal and extranet sites
• Maintain and enhance existing web-based solutions
• Work with clients and colleagues to successfully complete tasks on-time and within budget
• Provide technical support to end users (external clients and/or colleagues) through training, demonstrations, and documentation
• Remain current on web technology trends, and rapidly learn and apply new skills and tools during the life cycle of a project
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, and self-disciplined in order to organize time and work efficiently in a face-paced and exciting consulting environment 

Qualifications  

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or related degree
• 3+ years of experience with custom data driven web application development, using C# and .NET technology is required. Including working experience in using Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio
• Strong knowledge of web design and development including HTML, CSS, and Javascript frameworks required
• Ability to work collaboratively to produce intuitive web user interfaces
• Collaborate on solutions by facilitating and improving communication amongst technical staff and clients
• Excellent problem solving skills. Good oral and written communication skills with external and internal clients of varying levels of computer literacy
• Experience developing web mapping applications using a variety of ArcGIS for Server APIs (JavaScript, Silverlight, and Flex) a plus
• T-SQL knowledge a plus
