~ BlueLine Associates is a boutique consulting firm offering top-notch business process improvement services. We work with Fortune 500 companies, helping them change and improve their existing processes by integrating Lean Six Sigma principles. ~

Position Overview

BlueLine Associates is currently seeking an experienced Process Improvement Consultant to represent our firm at a client site. This position is a contract that will last for 4 months, with possible extension. 

This position requires frequent work on client site in NYC; if not local to NYC area, candidate must be willing to travel to client site 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities  

  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects toward successful completion by supporting Lean Six Sigma program and initiatives, facilitating cross-functional teams and training, resulting in improved process quality, financial results, and customer satisfaction.
  • Work directly with customers to establish goals and objectives related to Lean Six Sigma, including quality targets. Prioritize projects to ensure resources are appropriately applied to achieve established goals at the department level.
  • Establish and monitor metrics relative to Lean Six Sigma programs, projects, and initiatives. Conduct periodic Lean Six Sigma program reviews and update department leadership on the deployment progress and LSS results.
  • Audit closed projects to ensure results are maintained. 

Qualifications  

Education/Certifications: 

  • Six Sigma Green Belt is required (Black Belt required for Senior Consultant)
  • ITIL and/or PMP certifications are desirable, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 

Previous Work Experience: 

  • Experience working in IT is a big plus!
  • Must have 3+ years experience in process improvement (6+ years experience required for Senior Consultant)

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

  • Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully
  • Skilled at leading process change
  • Should be able to learn and apply statistical analysis to complex business problems, and create and maintain a high level of energy and sense of urgency about Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement. Enthusiasm and drive are key!
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Must be able to work in NYC for most of the work week
