Position Overview
The Client Accounts Manager, Responbile Forest Products is responsible for supporting the Chain of Custody (CoC) and Forest Management (FM) programs through client relationship management within a fast-paced, supportive team environment.
These programs provide certification assessments against the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) standards, to forest managers and forest product manufacturers and traders all over the globe.
SCS was a founding member of the Forest Stewardship Council and is the leading certification body in the United States.
Roles and Responsbilities
- Manage existing CoC and/or FM certificate holders for clients to ensure that audits are conducted on schedule and in accordance with program requirements
- Communicate with USA-based clients regarding the certification process and relevant requirements
- Communicate with international representatives, auditors, and stakeholders regarding upcoming audits
- Build strong, positive long-term client relationships by understanding current and future business issues, markets, competition, and audiences
- Prepare proposals and invoices for certification assessments that ensure minimum profit margins are met while balancing meeting client expectations in a competitive market
- Maintain documents, records, and progress tracking in a well-organized fashion that maintains compliance with SCS quality management systems and/or the rules of the relevant certification scheme
- Work effectively to ensure any issues with clients and/or auditors are dealt with in a timely manner
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Ability to work well both independently and in team-oriented situations 5 days per week at our Emeryville office
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Superlative organizational skills, ability to prioritize numerous tasks effectively and meet deadlines
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to proof your own work
- Solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong computer skills including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and basic database management
Additional Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated interest in the mission of SCS Global Services
- Previous pricing/cost analysis experience
- Experience with ISO standards, supply chains and/or the certified products industry
- Experience using File Maker
