Logistics Associate, Renewable Energy

Position Overview 

UGE is looking to grow its team by hiring an entry-level logistics associate to support our NY operations. The logistics associate will assist our NY team with various tasks involving purchasing, order processing, invoicing, inventory tracking, documentation, internal processes, and management of our worldwide shipping channels. This position is available to start immediately. 

Responsibilities  

This job will expose you to: 

• Sales and purchase management 
• Logistics management and transport economics from a third-party perspective 
• Carrier management 
• Distribution patterns, tracking and tracing 
• Logistic information systems 
• Global ERP systems 
• Working closely with a cross-continental team 

Job duties will include:

•  Managing customer and vendor ordering and payments 
• Planning and assisting with inventory strategy 
• Assisting on imports and exports out of our US warehouse, China factory and NY office 
• Managing shipping documentation and other aspects logistics documentation for our orders 
• Logging and improving on key performance indicators, and creating new tools and reports for analysis 
• Continuous interfacing with business development, engineering, and marketing departments, as well as the manufacturing team in China 

Qualifications  

The qualities of the candidate should include:

• Fluent Chinese, as this position will require constant interaction with vendors and colleagues in China 
• Undergraduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Operations, Communications, or related major prefrred 
• Strong communication and negotiation skills will be valuable in discussions with customers, suppliers, and colleagues 
• Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and dedicated to the challenge of helping others 
• Strong Excel and computing skills
