Position Overview

Our client, an established European renewable energy trading firm are in the process of expanding internationally, and looking for experienced individuals to join their San Francisco team.

Our client, an established European renewable energy trading firm are in the process of expanding internationally, and as part of their growth plans are opening an office in the US. They are looking for experienced renewable energy sales traders and brokers to join the team, which will be based in San Francisco. 

The firm specialises in trading a number of renewable products, including carbon, green certificates, biofuels, and renewable fuels and chemicals.

This opportunity would suit an individual with sales or broking experience within commercial US energy markets, who is looking for an opportunity to join a growing company within an expanding and volatile market.  

Responsibilities  

• Develop and maintain commercial relationships and an active portfolio of clients across North America.
• Market commercial renewable energy deals to clients.
• Structure and price commercial deals, in order to trade and market deals on behalf of clients, utilizing carbon credits, renewable certificates, and biofuels products.
• Analyze and research US energy and renewable markets.
• Maximize commercial revenue through generation of new business. 

Qualifications  

Skills required: 

• At least three years experience in energy sales or broking, with a strong commercial acumen and driven sales attitude.
• Exposure to carbon, renewables, and/or bio fuels broking or sales trading would be preferable.
• Ability to build and maintain a commercial network and client portfolio.
• Strong interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work with various stakeholders and international teams.
• Highly organised, and able to work under pressure within a commercial environment, operating to meet targets and goals.
• Able to live and work in San Francisco. 

Compensation: Salary is competitive.
