Position Overview

EDR has been providing environmental risk products and services to the financial markets for many years. Thousands of lenders rely on EDR to help them manage their environmental risk. Recently, EDR has developed the EDR Lender PortalTM, a web-based platform that empowers lenders of all types and sizes, to simplify workflow surrounding commercial and residential real estate property due diligence and compliance.

In our continued commitment to offering quality products and providing our clients with superior service, we've created a new opportunity within one of our emerging markets. The Environmental Product Manager is a highly visible position reporting to the Managing Director.

The position will require that the person utilize a Front-End Customer Strategy (FECS) to gain insight into new products and product improvements by combining multiple methods of deep customer inquiry. He/she will also coordinate products throughout their lifecycle: from strategic definition, through development, training, launch, and future enhancements. The Environmental Product Manager will work closely with sales, marketing, operational and technical teams to complete projects. 

Responsibilities  

Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Working with lending institutions to understand their business objectives, strategies, workflow needs and requirements surrounding managing environmental risk for commercial and residential real estate transactions
  • Creating compelling user stories and prototypes
  • Creating product roadmaps
  • Establishing and building senior level relationships
  • Partnering and consulting with customers to drive solutions
  • Working closely with the rest of the lender team including marketing, technical product managers and developers to bring the ideas to launch
  • Managing the advisory partners that support the products/services provided to customers 

Qualifications 

Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of real estate and environmental risk management/due diligence
  • Deep experience working for or with lending institutions
  • Knowledge of lending institution internal and external compliance with policy and regulations as it pertains to environmental risk
  • Deep understanding of the inner workings of a lending institution (processes, software, workflow)
  • Experience with technology/software applications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience creating / managing products a plus
  • Experience creating workflow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes a plus
  • Ability to write HTML and CSS a plus
