Position Overview

Within
our Green Home Services department (GHS), we are looking for a hardworking,
versatile, and experienced sales manager who will work collaboratively with
other managers in the GHS Department and grow our team of professionals along
with our sales.

Responsibilities 


Essential Responsibilities include
the following.  Other duties may be
assigned.
 

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and
    developing annual sales quotas for new construction services; projecting
    expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Implement and manage sales strategies by
    developing field sales action plans with HERS raters.
  • Increase sales volume and maintain service mix
    by keeping current with home building supply and demand, changing trends,
    economic housing indicators, and competitors.
  • Establish and adjusts selling prices by
    monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to
    budgetary requirements.
  • Recruit, train and manage new employees as
    demand permits.
  • Meet with key clients, assisting HERS raters with maintaining
    relationships and negotiating and closing projects.
  • Represent CET at trade association meetings
    and networking events to promote green building services.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
    by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;
    establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • College degree and 3 years of related
    sales experience.
  • RESNET Green Rater and BPI
    certifications preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in construction
    business and green building techniques.
  • 2 years of management/supervisory
    experience.
  • Proficient in Windows-based software, database
    and spreadsheet management, PowerPoint.
  • Valid
    driver's license and good driving record, ability to pass background and
    drug test.
  • Ability to work independently and in an
    organized way. 
  • Demonstrated ability to track and
    report results.
  • Work-style - flexible, self-directed,
    professional, hard-work ethic, patient, works well independently, with
    others, and as a leader. 

Compensation: This is a full-time salaried position plus commission based in our
Florence office.  The Center for
EcoTechnology offers competitive pay rates and a comprehensive health plan
which pays 60% of the individual's health insurance costs. Dental and disability insurance is also
offered after 30 days of employment. New employees accrue 10 days of paid vacation leave per year, 9 sick
days and CET offers 12 paid holidays.
