Position Overview
We are seeking candidates to train to become professional tree climbers.
- Professional Tree Climbers climb and work both in trees and on the ground in a variety of weather conditions using chain saws, chippers, pruning saws and other equipment to prune, cable, and perform other services.
- Climbers ascend and move through trees using ropes and harnesses similar to rock-climbing equipment and techniques to perform their work.
- If you like adventure and hard work and are not afraid of heights, this is the choice for you!
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Some knowledge of trees and tree care
- A passion for nature/outdoors and a desire to learn more about trees, shrubs, lawns
- Must be able to take direction
- You must have a clean and valid driver's license
- You must be able to lift 50 pounds or more, must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time, able to pull yourself up using your arms (able to do chin-ups), and not be afraid of heights.
