Position Overview:

We are seeking Regional Commercial Solar Sales Managers for our Charlotte, NC and Los Angeles, CA offices. If you are looking for a strong and stable company with outstanding opportunities for upward mobility, we invite you to apply to A&P.

The successful candidate will strive to exceed customer expectations. They will actively identify and pursue leads, new business opportunities, address customer's questions and concerns, and meet sales quotas of solar PV and thermal systems.

Sales Managers will spend much of their time traveling to and visiting with prospective customers at their place of business. Outside Sales Managers are the primary external representatives of A&P and are expected to convey a sense of expertise in services and capabilities offered. This position requires tact, adaptability, confidence, and a high degree of customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales of commercial and utility solar electric and thermal systems 
  • Full life cycle business development and lead generation
  • Closing deals and getting contracts signed 
  • Prospecting for and qualifying leads
  • Utilizing online tools and conducting preliminary site evaluations to develop an initial system design 
  • Generating project proposals/quotes for customers
  • Analysis of customer's current and projected electrical usage and financial return on investment
  • Must have a clear understanding of sales cycle, contract agreements and be able to explain and review agreements to close customers quickly

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of a successful track record of commercial sales experience 
  • Experience in the solar industry preferred 
  • Strong track record of full cycle business development
  • Ability to excel at self-generating leads and winning new business 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed monthly sales numbers
  • Strong track record of achievement as evidenced by sales awards, beating quota, building a new book of business or growing a market, etc.
  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Basic Excel a must. CRM experience a plus
  • Desire to stay on the leading edge of the solar and renewable energies industry
  • Four year college degree preferred
  • Valid state driver's license 
  • Clean DMV driving record
  • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screen
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Compensation: Motivated sales representatives can earn more than $100,000. Travel/car allowance and smart phone provided and full benefits including health, vision, dental insurance and a 401k plan.
