Alaska Center for the Environment (ACE) and Alaska Conservation Voters (ACV) are seeking a talented and dynamic professional with experience in individual donor development. ACE is one of the state's largest conservation advocacy organizations, engaging thousands of Alaskans through outdoor education, youth leadership development, community organizing, and advocacy campaigns. ACV is ACE's sister 501(c)(4) organization, working to protect Alaska's environment through advocacy and election of pro-conservation candidates.
Position Overview:
The Grassroots Giving Manager will lead the development and implementation of individual fundraising strategies for ACE and ACV. The position will work as part of a team that integrates organizing, fundraising, and communications to engage the public.
This is a full-time position based in Anchorage, Alaska, will have access to professional development opportunities, including training and support through the State League of Conservation Voters network.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Developing an annual individual giving plan with evaluation metrics;
- Supporting board and staff in major donor prospecting and stewardship;
- Overseeing annual mail, online, canvass (phone/door-to-door) and special event fundraising activities; and,
- Integrating fundraising with organizing and communications strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Interest in Alaska conservation;
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on individual giving programs;
- Experience managing volunteers and interns in fundraising activities;
- Excellent organization and planning skills;
- Excellent written skills-must be able to write persuasively;
- Exceptional customer service and proven ability to interact with donors, volunteers, and staff in a thoughtful, professional, and enthusiastic manner;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and respond quickly to emerging opportunities;
- Tech savvy with high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and social media; and,
- Familiarity with donor or constituent databases and bulk email platforms preferred.
